Head of Motorrad said we would see it later this year, and on sale next year. Sure sounds like EICMA...

BMW motorcycle boss Stephan Schaller confirmed a Scrambler was on the cards at the recent launch of the Concept 101 bagger. He told MCN: “We want to create families around all our engines and chassis. We want three to five models around each version. I think the Scrambler is a very good idea and perhaps you will see something later this year. In fact I think you can expect this to happen this year for sure. But it will only be shown and not for sale until next year. I think there are some other models we can do. Perhaps a café racer and maybe one more too.”

Just what I thought, looking at the timeline and even though speculation EICMA seemed most promising.

For sure, and 2015 is Intermots off year so there was really only one choice...

you would think BMW would up their teaser game. Like you said MANY months until EICMA, how many people will defect to the Ducks?

BMW tends not to do as many teasers for their vehicles. I think they try to be above that.

Cross marketing is one thing they can do with the NineT and scrambler since they already have that customer base to act as the foundation then to venture out. That foundation is a must for momentum.
